Meet Our Policy Experts

Portal Claims began with a heart to treat people as people while properly handling claims.

Although founded in early 2021 by Zach Gwinn and Sean Corrigan, our team is comprised of people with decades of experience forming a comprehensive landscape of types of claims handled, as well as various ways to achieve proper settlements.

With clear communication as our top priority at Portal Claims, we strive to treat you as our friends and family.

We will protect your best interests while fighting to get you the coverage you were promised in your insurance policy.

It's hard to guarantee anything in the insurance world, but we strive to become a resource for all property owners after they have experienced loss.

Sean Corrigan, Owner

I fell into the property claims industry by serendipity in 2017.

I had worked the better part of a decade with Publix Grocery stores. I began in customer service and ended my time managing the Grocery Department. After news of our first child, I decided to seek a new career path that would give me a better work/life balance. At the suggestion of a great co-worker, I reached out to a public adjusting firm in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The rest, as they say, is history. I quickly learned the importance of personal representation for property owners on their insurance claims. As the company grew, I oversaw customer service and the day-to-day operations until transitioning into a business development role. My continued focus in that company, as well as Portal Claims, has been to identify the pain points in the claim process and create winning solutions for all parties.

I have a passion for people and have never met a stranger. Really hope to talk soon!

Zach Gwinn, Owner

My journey started in 2001 as a residential/light commercial remodeling and new construction builder. I engaged in the industry initially as a tradesman but moved quickly into managing positions, including business owner.

In 2010, I had the opportunity to move into claims consulting, working on behalf of insurance companies. Here I became exposed to the property loss insurance process.

In 2017, after having spent many years watching firsthand how homeowners were treated by their insurance providers, I transitioned into public adjusting, where I have been able to apply my construction expertise and insurance understanding for the protection of property owners in lieu of insurance companies.

I love what I do and feel like each step of the way has prepared me for where I am today.
